The United Nations human rights office has warned that Israeli military actions in Gaza are increasing concerns about ethnic cleansing as Palestinians face repeated displacement into progressively smaller areas of the territory. According to Al Jazeera on October 30, Israeli forces have expanded their positions beyond the deployment boundary known as the Yellow Line, restricting access to homes and communities previously inhabited by Palestinian civilians. The UN also reported continuing destruction of civilian infrastructure and attacks affecting displacement sites. Military advances over the preceding two weeks have triggered further displacement in Shujayea and several areas of central Gaza. Human rights officials warned that continued military expansion could deepen the humanitarian crisis and severely undermine prospects for displaced families to return home. Despite the existing ceasefire agreement, Israeli military operations and civilian displacement have continued, raising concerns about the sustainability of the ceasefire and the protection of Palestinian civilians./ Al Jazeera
